Rosaveel Fisherman Wool Sweater

This traditional Aran wool fisherman sweater comes in 100% wool and is made in a classic speckled warm cream color and features a crew neckline and drop shoulders.

In late September in 2022, I made the ferry voyage to the Aran Islands off the coast of western Ireland, to purchase myself a handmade wool sweater. The Aran Islands were once famed for their wool sweaters, though sadly, only one company is left on the island (there used to be many). We took a tour of the islands and our tour guide, told us nearly every family on the island worked in some way or form with the island’s biggest commodity. His family had been there for 7 generations and him and his wife were the last as their children moved away.
